About TRMC

The late Ted Rogers and his wife Loretta Rogers, Toronto philanthropists and long-time supporters of Ryerson, made a transformational gift of $15 million to the University in 2007. The donation was directed towards the Faculty of Business, which in recognition was renamed the Ted Rogers School of Management.

Traditionally in early January, the Ryerson Commerce Society (RCS) hosts Frost Week, a celebration to kick off the start of the winter semester by encouraging students to be active in their Ryerson community and to be involved during the winter semester.

TRMC was established to continually thank Ted and Loretta Rogers for their tremendous support to the Ted Rogers School of Management at Ryerson University; the RCS felt it would be appropriate to rename the event to the Ted Rogers Management Conference (TRMC). The conference will allow students, faculty, industry professionals, and media to explore the business style and work ethic that Ted Rogers portrayed. In doing so, we hope to provide participants an insight on leadership, philanthropy, and innovation.

To capture the essence of Ted Rogers by becoming the premier business conference for inspiring Canadian entrepreneurs and ambitious students alike.

Mission:

To celebrate the entrepreneurial and innovative spirit of Ted Rogers in addition to offering personal development sessions to the business leaders and innovators of tomorrow.
