Bob Shebib, faculty emeritus Douglas College, is an educator, counsellor, and author who has extensive professional experience in the fields of corrections, child protection, public welfare, addictions, mental health and youth care as well as international work in Africa and China.  During his numerous trips to Africa, he worked with traditional village healers to help

Bob Shebib, faculty emeritus Douglas College, is an educator, counsellor, and author who has extensive professional experience in the fields of corrections, child protection, public welfare, addictions, mental health and youth care as well as international work in Africa and China.  During his numerous trips to Africa, he worked with traditional village healers to help them link with hospital based psychiatric services. He is the author of many books and articles including the Canadian best-selling textbook, Choices: Interviewing and Counselling Skills for Canadians – with the 8th edition in production for publication early next year. Currently, he teaches part-time, continues writing and he is the CEO of a consulting and training business.  He has graduate degrees in both social work and business.
