Charlie Atkinson

Charlie established The Winning Practice in February of 2018 having retired from his position as President of the Canadian Division of Hewlett Packard Enterprise in September of 2017. He has over 35 years of business experience. Charlie has extensive experience in building teams, growing businesses, merging companies, executing on divestiture plans, optimizing P&L’s, restructuring, building culture and engagement plans and balancing channel management strategy. He is also keen to share his knowledge and expertise through his new consultancy, The Winning Practice. The Winning Practice will provide results inspired strategic excellence focusing on four key areas: people, partnerships, productivity and profitability.

Charlie has conquered progressive leadership challenges throughout his tenure at HP. His leadership style prioritizes employee engagement, fostering an inspired, passionate, empowered and accountable workforce to delivering market leading results. Previous to HP, Charlie has worked with multi-nationals such as Xerox, Kodak and Sharp Electronics in sales, sales training, sales management, marketing management roles. Charlie has also been involved in two start-ups.  

Charlie is on the National Board of Directors for ITAC (Information Technology Association of Canada). He is a graduate of the Rotman School of Management Directors Education Program. He lives in Mississauga with his wife Anita and their two daughters.

Sam Mizrahi

As president and founder of Mizrahi Developments, Sam Mizrahi is a visionary entrepreneur with over 25 years of leadership experience in identifying and developing residential, retail and community projects across North America. An inspirational team builder who recruits leading experts in a variety of fields, he has a proven ability to execute complex projects that require a layered skill set in community relations, zoning, marketing, heritage appreciation, retail and commercial requirements, property amalgamation, construction, design and quality management. Throughout his career, he has worked in a detail-oriented, hands-on capacity overseeing all aspects of development for multi-million dollar projects that have contributed meaningfully to the architectural landscape of some of North America’s most iconic and historic neighbourhoods.

Having grown up in Toronto, Sam understands the city well and has built his career as a developer by studying and anticipating the evolution of lifestyle choices and aspirations. An intuitive and creative businessman, he dreams big and executes that vision with utmost precision and attention to detail. He is the force behind the identification, acquisition and amalgamation of properties, the entrepreneurial vision for the property, and the overall management of the firm, including its relationships with project investors as well as community and municipal stakeholders. Sam is also president of Northern Citadel Bankcorp, a private company registered with the Financial Services Commission of Ontario (FSCO).

Well known in Canada as a generous philanthropic leader, Sam has supported a diverse range of charities in healthcare, the arts and in the communities where Mizrahi Developments is active. Within the Jewish community, he is a leading fundraiser, philanthropist and participant in many charitable organizations.

Eva Wong

Eva is Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer at Borrowell, a financial technology company that helps Canadians make great decisions about credit. Through its free credit score monitoring, personal loans and bank partnerships, Borrowell empowers consumers to improve their financial well-being and be the hero of their credit.

With a background in management consulting and business development, Eva has worked in both the private and not-for- profit sectors in Canada and abroad, including roles at Maple Leaf Foods and Oliver Wyman. Eva was named one of 20 Canadian tech start-up founders to follow by Twitter Canada, is on the 2017 Women
in FinTech Powerlist and was a finalist for “Fintech Woman of the Year” at LendIt, the world’s biggest show in lending & fintech.

Eva holds degrees from Harvard University and Queen’s School of Business. She enjoys biking, food blogs and baking projects with her two kids.

Patricia Lovett-Reid

As CTV News’ Chief Financial Commentator, Pattie Lovett-Reid coaches viewers on how to save money, stretch their income, and get the biggest bang for their hard-earned bucks. Lovett-Reid currently provides weekday financial updates for regional CTV MORNING LIVE broadcasts across the country, and also joins CP24 weekday mornings for the market opening, followed by CTV News Channel in the early afternoon. When there is a market moving, economic or finance story worthy of commenting on, Lovett-Reid will offer commentary on CTV NATIONAL NEWS as well.

For the last decade, the highly respected Canadian financial guru has been a regular guest commentator on BNN, and other Bell Media channels. Lovett-Reid was the host of THE PATTIE LOVETT-REID SHOW on CTV News Channel and CTV, and was a weekly guest commentator on CANADA AM until the program signed off in June 2016. A sought-after speaker and commentator on wealth management, she took on the role of Senior Financial Commentator on CTV News in early 2012. Lovett-Reid comes to CTV News from TD Waterhouse Canada Inc., where she served as Senior Vice-President.

Lovett-Reid is a Certified Financial Planner, co-author of several national best-selling books, and was awarded with an honorary degree in Applied Studies from Humber College in June 2010. The Financial Planners Standards Council (FPSC) recognized Lovett-Reid with the 2009 Donald J. Johnston Award for her outstanding contribution to the profession of financial planning in Canada. Lovett-Reid also received the 2007 Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100™ Award in the Trailblazers and Trendsetters Category.
